Dilip Khatri (Chairman) – Age 59

Dilip is the Chairman and Managing Director of Jack’s of Fiji Group of Companies. Jack’s of Fiji commenced with humble beginnings in 1976 with 2 employees. Today the Group employs 850 people, with 19 retail stores all over Fiji, 4 restaurants, a garments factory, construction, joinery and manufacturing plant.

 With leadership and focus Dilip took his father’s vision and grew the small retail store in Nadi into what it is today, Jack’s of Fiji Group of Companies. He has a passionate commitment to fulfilling social responsibilities, and over the years has been a patron of most of the social and religious organizations in Nadi, such as Crippled Children’s Society of Nadi, Board of Visitors of Nadi Hospital, Wailoaloa Crematorium Committee, etc. He had been Mayor of Nadi Town from 1993 to 1999. In 2002, the Government of Fiji also recognized his contribution to Fiji by appointing him as an Officer of the Order of Fiji and on 1 August 2006 he has been appointed as a member of the Fiji College of Honours..

Dilip has keen business acumen, as well as strong people management abilities, which have been the driving forces for Jack’s success.

He is now also Chairman of the Board for Vision Group Limited, new owners of Courts Fiji Limited

Navin Patel (Deputy Chairman) – Age 54

Navin is a director for Jacks of Fiji Group of Companies and a Board member for Vision Group Limited and Courts Fiji Limited. As the Deputy Chairman, Navin liaises on a regular basis with the three executive directors, Keith, James and Rajesh with regards to Courts Fiji business.

Navin Patel is also a partner of Oswin Griffiths – DFK, a Chartered Accountancy Practice in Auckland, New Zealand and is a graduate of Victoria University of Wellington. He has been working in the Chartered Accountancy environment since 1973 including 13 years with a "big 4" firm and has worked in New Zealand, Fiji and the USA. Navin specialises in auditing, business development consultancy with emphasis on working closely with clients, facilitating business planning and on-going monitoring of business results. He also acts as a trustee and company director for a number of his client companies and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in New Zealand and a Registered Trustee with the New Zealand Trustees Association. Navin has had extensive international experience in auditing large public and private companies, business consulting experience with industrial, retail, tourism, property and IT companies.

Dinesh Patel (Director) – Age 52

Dinesh is the Managing Director and Chairman of R.C.Manubhai Group of Companies. He is also a Director/Board Member for Vision Group Limited – owners of Courts (Fiji) Limited operations.

Dinesh is an Accountancy graduate (Auckland – NZ) and was a Director of his family business from 1981 until 1990 when he became the Managing Director. The RCM Group has really expanded its operations in Fiji over the years and today consists of R.C.Manubhai & Co. Ltd (six Hardware outlets Fiji-wide), Manubhai Industries Ltd (Foam products), CRP Industries Ltd (Wire Mesh), Roofing & Profiles (Fiji) Ltd (Roofing Sheets, Purlins, Building Systems) and Glass & Mirror (Fiji) – purchased from Courts Fiji Ltd in 2003. Dinesh is a Board Member of Fiji Islands Trade & Investment Bureau (since 2001) and President of Ba Chamber of Commerce & Industries (since 2003).

Suresh Patel (Director) – Age 52

Suresh is an experienced and very successful business man with extensive experience in motor vehicle, engineering and property related businesses. He has a Bachelor Commerce degree from University of Auckland with a major in accounting and a member of Institute of Chartered Accountant of New Zealand. After completing 13 years of work experience with a big 4 firm, Suresh ventured into business. He has an excellent understanding of all legal and financial systems in Fiji and an excellent understanding of the property market in Fiji.

Suresh is highly respected by his business associates and friends as he has created a large business enterprise namely the Challenge Group single handedly and his ability to manage on his own a diversified business group and property investments. He is very entrepreneurial in his approach to business and decisive with his business decisions.

Satish Parshotam (Director) – Age 51

Satish was born in Suva and apart from tertiary education years has lived all his life here. He did most of his High School education at Marist Brothers' High School in 1973. He graduated with a law degree from the University of Auckland in 1978. He joined the firm of Parshotam & Co, Solicitors, Suva in 1978 and has been with it since. He was appointed a Notary Public in 1988. Satish practices mainly in the areas of banking, finance and commercial law. He is also a board member of the Fiji School of Medicine and several tertiary education and service organisations in Fiji. He is married to Angie.

Satish is a very highly respected and efficient commercial lawyer in Fiji and he has a very sound understanding of business law and practices in Fiji.
