OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY

We at Courts Homecentres are totally committed to maintaining and for the promotion of a health and safe
working environment for all our employees, contractors, customers and visitors.
We the Management of Courts Homecentres shall:

  1. Ensure that we provide our employees with a safe workplace and system of work by providing safe working equipment, written instructions, work procedures and on going training.
  2. Ensure that the products we sell to our customers meet the health and safety standards and requirements.
  3. Ensure that all or our employees shall be provided with necessary information, instruction training and
    supervision as far as reasonably practical for their health and safety in the workplace.
  4. Ensure that an open communication channel with not only our Health & Safety Committee Representatives but also relevant Government Authority in formulating and implementing Health & Safety Policies and Procedures in the workplace so as to ensure that OHS Regulations and Act is followed and adhered to.
  5. Encourage the participation of all employees in the development of occupational health, rehabilitation and safety programmes and procedures.
  6. On a regular basis consult with the OHS committee in their work procedures relating to Occupational Health and Safety.
  7. Reviewing of the OHS Policy periodically.

We the Employees of Courts Homecentres shall:

  • At all times assist and cooperate with the members of our Management Team in promoting and maintaining a Health & Safety working environment.
  • Ensure that we create and maintain a Health & Safety working environment not only for the benefit of all Courts Homecentres employees but also our customers, contractors and visitors.
  • Be fully aware and understand that it is our duty not only to comply with the Health & Safety Policy of the company but also follow and adhere to the current Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulation at all times and to act responsibly and do everything we can to prevent injury to ourselves and all others in our workplace.
  • Cooperate with management in their efforts to comply with duties or obligations according to OHS procedures.

This policy commits the Management and all Employees of Courts Homecentres to an Occupational Health and Safety programme as an integral part of its Risk Management Principles.
